Not a bad bit of history but most of the fort is demolished and many of the stones have been taken away.
Took a break from our road trip. We got out of our car so we could ride a golf cart around the site. Very fun. We liked the museum inside which had a good mix of informational content and interactive components for the kids. Also they sell a challenge coin in the gift shop.
I enjoyed taking a tour of the grounds, learning about the history and looking through the shop. I went with a boy scout troop going to summer camp and I was glad a kind and knowledge worker gave us a history of the area. The facilities and views are beautiful and I had a great time.
Pleasant visit and very friendly attendant at the desk answered many questions
the staff here is super nice, she showed us the fun exhibits. If you get lucky like us, you can drive golf car to visit the site, which is super cool!
